Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop
It is the weekend and time for the Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Crazy For Books.  This week the question to start the conversation is:

Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?

I usually have two going at once.  One is generally more challenging, now I am reading Catch-22, and one is light and lovely, currently Kerry Greenwood's cosy mystery Urn Burial.

    Whereas, if I have a challenging books in my hands, I can't read anything else because it gets me out of my groove. I've always noticed that, for myself, I need to be in a groove to read the challenging stuff. Being grooveless means I just can't get through it.

    Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

    That's a great way to do it. I usually read one at a time unless I have some sort of book emergency.

    I used to only read one book at a time but blogging encouraged me to try several at a time. I usually have a fiction and a non-fiction and an audiobook for when I walk. But like you, I try to balance heavy and light too.

    I read more than one book at a time, sometimes three, sometimes five!

    Another hopper here! I will have to check out the Potter family series from A.S. Byatt, I have read a couple of her other books and enjoyed them, but this series escaped my notice - I'll have to correct that!
